Tile Flow

When drainage tiles are installed in a pothole, the pothole will contribute water to the main channel through tile flow. The pothole outflow originating from tile drainage is:

Vflowout=qtile∗86400V_{flowout}=q_{tile}*86400Vflowout=qtile∗86400 if V>qtile∗86400V>q_{tile}*86400V>qtile∗86400 8:1.3.12

Vflowout=VV_{flowout}=VVflowout=V if V≤qtile∗86400V \le q_{tile}*86400V≤qtile∗86400 8:1.3.13

where VflowoutV_{flowout}Vflowout is the volume of water flowing out of the water body during the day (m3^33 H2_22O), qtileq_{tile}qtile is the average daily tile flow rate (m3^33/s), and VVV is the volume of water stored in the pothole (m3^33 H2_22O).
